Well I know of this Korean BBQ restaurant, really authentic located opposite Haw Par Villa in the Yess Building. It is called Ju Shin Jung. Their BBQ is fabulous and they serve other famous Korean dishes like Soya bean soup, Kim chi soup, Bulgogi and cold noodles.
Its a little pricey though. With BBQ per plate of meat to be between $20 – $40 dollars. Seafood pancake is like $20 though its good but not very worth it.
However I still strongly recommend this restaurant because the food is great though price is a little over the top. There is another branch at East Coast (Above the Longhouse Seafood Restaurant) but I don’t recommend that place because they are miserly in their portions and doesn’t taste as good as the West Coast branch.
If you want normal Korean food, I know of a place at International Plaza, Second level that is authentic as well. Many Korean expats go there to eat. I’m not sure what the place is called but its the only Korean restaurant in second level International Plaza.
Anyway usually authentic Korean restaurants are premium priced so I suggest you guys have a big budget before you consider throwing a birthday party there!

Auntie Kim at Upper Thomson Road
Auntie Kim’s has good food, nice ambience but parking is a big pain.
Ju Shin Jung has a more informal and family feel to it. The BBQ is better than Auntie Kim’s but your clothes will smell after that.
For a more central location, I heard the Korean restaurant at Amara Hotel is very good. But I’ve personally not tried it.
